Larix decidua ‘Pendula’

Zone: 3

Exposure: Full Sun

Mature Size:
8′ H X 8 W

Bloom Time
: Prized for Foliage

Description: Unusual small accent tree with a strongly weeping habit, usually grafted on a standard to a certain height; best used as a solitary or accent in a garden composition, will definitely draw the eye to it.

Ornamental Features: Green foliage which emerges light green in spring. Needle-like leaves turn an outstanding gold in the fall. The rough gray bark and gold branches add an interesting dimension to the landscape.

Landscape Attributes: Deciduous tree with a strong central leader and gracefully weeping branches. Low maintenance, looks its best without pruning.

(Trees, Shrubs and Perennials labelled Zone 2 or 3 are consistently hardy enough to survive in Calgary, Okotoks and surrounding areas)
