The native trembling aspen is a beautiful tree with exceptionally white bark and straight trunk-growth habit. This tough landscape tree, whose seed source originated in the high elevations near Fernie, BC, is outstanding in both natural groupings and as a stand-alone specimen tree. It is highly versatile and well adapted for Southern Alberta. With its beautiful, delicate spring foliage turning to bright yellow in the fall, the Trembling Aspen is a great tree for naturalizing around a residence. Can be planted 15-20ft from buildings.
(Trees, Shrubs and Perennials labelled Zone 2 or 3 are consistently hardy enough to survive in Calgary, Okotoks and surrounding areas)
