Description: A fast growing upright shrub with deep green foliage, red stems, white flowers and blue berries. Excellent for massed, border edging or as a specimen with outstanding four season color and winter interest.
Ornamental Features: Veined foliage is deep green throughout the season turning burgundy-red in the fall. Clusters of showy white flowers in late spring mature to blue berries in late summer. Stems turn bright crimson red in the winter providing exceptional color interest and are excellent for cutting.
Landscape Attributes: Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub. Low maintenance; although pruning is not required, removing 20-25% of the oldest stems in early spring of each year, stimulates growth of new stems which display the best color. Deer tolerant and rabbit resistant.
