Description: A very tight branching and fast growing compact shrub with dark green foliage, red stems, white flowers and berries. Excellent for massed, border edging or as a specimen with outstanding four season color and winter interest.
Ornamental Features: Foliage is slender and dark green tinged with red throughout the season turning burgundy in the fall. Clusters of white flowers in late spring mature to small white berries in late summer. Stems turn crimson red in the winter providing outstanding color interest and are excellent for cutting.
Landscape Attributes: Dense, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub. Low maintenance; although pruning is not required, removing 20-25% of the oldest stems in early spring of each year, stimulates growth of new stems which display the best color. Deer tolerant and rabbit resistant.
