Description: Eye catching and unique deciduous shrub with a compact, rounded form, distinctive green puckered foliage, red stems, bright white flowers and navy blue berries. Excellent specimen, border edging or in masses.
Ornamental Features: Clusters of bright white flowers in late spring mature to navy blue ornamental berries. Heavily textured glossy green foliage throughout the season turns burgundy in the fall. Stems turn bright red in the winter providing four season interest and are excellent for cutting.
Landscape Attributes: Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub. Low maintenance; although pruning is not required, removing 20-25% of the oldest stems in early spring of each year, stimulates growth of new stems which display the best color. Deer, rabbit and disease resistant.
