Description: The king of the northern birches, with snow-white peeling bark and yellow-gold fall color.  An excellent accent or shade tree.

Ornamental Features: Reddish young bark matures to white, papery, peeling layers.  Oval, toothed green foliage turns bright yellow-gold in the fall.The peeling white bark is extremely showy and adds significant winter interest.

Landscape Attributes: Deciduous tree with a shapely oval form. Low maintenance tree, should be pruned in the summer after leaves have fully developed.  Drought tolerant once established.
