Consultations and layout for pre-order purchases are free until April 15th.  Landscape designs can incorporate pre-order plant material. Please contact us to arrange a meeting.

Viewing

If you would like to look at plant material that is on our pre-order prior to delivery or installation, it can be viewed at Countryside Garden Centre on or about April 1 (weather pending). Please call the office 403.938.1835 to inquire.

Warranty

We guarantee all of our plant material to be healthy and hardy for this region.

Pre-order plant material that is installed by Countryside comes with a 2 year warranty. All pre-order plant material that is picked up or delivered by Countryside comes with a 1 year warranty. Please ask if you would like more information on the proper planting, watering and care of your new trees and shrubs.

Installation

All installations by Countryside require a clearance of 7-8’.

Let us do the work! We love our trees and what we love even more is to see our trees go to a good home and be planted properly. Let our installation team take care of the dirty work and get your trees off to their best start.

All installations include root-starter fertilizer, Mycorrhizae*, and fresh soil if required.

All lines and utilities must be marked by Alberta One Call prior to installation.

* Mycorrhizae are specialized fungi that colonize plant roots and increase the nutrient uptake of the plant.

White Spruce

Native to North America. Beautiful, dense evergreen with a uniform and moderate growth rate. Can withstand flooding during the growing season, but does not like to stand in water. High shade tolerance and can tolerate completely shaded conditions. Very winter hardy.

Prairie Sky Poplar

Swedish Columnar Aspen

This full, branched tree has an upright form. The tree has copper-colored leaves in spring; gradually changing to it’s shiny green summer color. The leaves are reddish in fall and the spectacular white bark, make it a versatile performer for the landscape. Drought tolerant and fast growing when roots are established. Ponderosa Pine

Cylindrical shaped pine with attractive cinnamon bark and long green needles. The most drought tolerant tree in our pre-order. Stately when mature with open branches in a spire like crown. Needles are glossy yellow green to dark green. Very hardy. Grows 50ft high and 25ft wide.

Mugo Pine

Very hardy, drought tolerant, upright mounded tree. With dense green foliage, great for a border in combination with other evergreens. As shown in picture, these mugo pines are already at a mature size, approx. 12 years old. Can reach up to 15 feet tall by 15 feet wide, depending on shearing.
